Dublin Ohio Multimodal Modeling of New City Center
The City of Dublin Ohio (Columbus region) is encouraging the redevelopment of areas around the suburban village center into a new downtown area of about one square mile. The new downtown will have a walkable street grid and several million square feet of mixed use development. Smart Mobility modified the City’s travel demand model to properly account for this type of land use in estimating walk trips and internal capture auto trips. The enhanced travel demand model estimates that over 40 percent of trips would be internal to the study area with full build.
