Flagstaff Arizona Bike Modeling

The City of Flagstaff is focusing a large share of its transportation investments on walk, bicycle and transit projects. Smart Mobility revamped the City’s transportation model to support better evaluation of these projects. In the resulting state-of-the art TransCAD model, walk, bike and transit trips are modeled. Bike trips are based on bike level of service. Bike trips are assigned to both on-street and off-road networks. The City has an unusually large bike mode share. In part, this is related to Northern Arizona University (NAU).
